Linda McMahon's nomination as Secretary of Education threatens to undermine public education in our country. As a proponent of privatizing schools through voucher programs, McMahon's agenda would divert vital resources away from the public school system that serves 90% of students. Her lack of experience in education coupled with her ties to Donald Trump's harmful policies raise grave concerns. McMahon is poised to undo civil rights protections, cut funding for vulnerable students, increase class sizes, and make higher education less accessible. Confirming her would deal a devastating blow to public schools and the millions of students and educators they serve. I urge you to reject this unqualified, ideologically-driven nominee who is intent on dismantling public education as we know it. Our children deserve far better leadership at the Department of Education.
