I'm furious about the KOSA hearing. Vote against all the bills!

To: Sen. Ossoff, Rep. Carter, Sen. Warnock

From: A constituent in Hinesville, GA

December 2

What I heard and saw at the recent hearing on the kids online safety bills appalled and disgusted me as an American and a great-aunt. The dismissiveness of so many proponents of these child-endangering bills could wind up with my family being victims of data brokers, traffickers and exploiters. Especially when we witness the tragic results of censorship, dictatorships, data theft, scraping, forced verification, hacking and trafficking. Imagine being a senator or representative and saying that rushing a bad decision is better for kids than healthcare, abuse hotlines, affordable food, better housing, better education, a better infrastructure, and freedom to express themselves. I don't trust the House or the Senate to make sure these bills are safe and non-invasive or to protect human rights. It makes me all the more opposed to these bills because of how dismissive Congress seems to be. If you vote for this, I will vote for your primary opponents, encourage my family and friends to do the same, and withdraw my support.
