Please Take Action to Protect Chicago from DHS/ICE Abuses

To: Sen. Durbin, Sen. Duckworth

From: A verified voter in Chicago, IL

October 6, 2025

I’m asking you to take immediate action in Congress to rein in the growing abuses by DHS and ICE in Chicago. These agencies must not operate unchecked or undermine the rights of Illinois residents. Please push for oversight hearings, strengthen transparency and accountability, and support legislation that restricts harmful enforcement practices. Our city deserves to feel safe — not targeted — by the federal government. Thank you for your leadership and for standing up for Chicago.
