​I am writing to urge your full support and co-sponsorship of the Abolish Super PACs Act. ​Our political system is dominated by the billionaire class. While nearly 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, the wealthiest 100 individuals spent $2.66 billion in the 2024 election cycle alone. Today, in the 2026 cycle, special interest super PACs are spending hundreds of millions more to drown out the voices of working families and defeat independent-minded candidates. ​The 2010 Citizens United decision has allowed billionaires and corporations to buy policy at the expense of everyday citizens. As Justice Lewis Brandeis noted, we can have democracy or concentrated wealth, but we cannot have both. ​The Abolish Super PACs Act would return power to the people by limiting individual super PAC contributions to $5,000. I urge you to champion this critical legislation and help get big money out of politics.
