Demand a full, public accounting of the nearly $947,000 the Department of Justice spent plastering Donald Trump's face on the Robert F. Kennedy Building. This is taxpayer money spent on political propaganda — and the DOJ redacted the specific line-item cost for the banners, which tells you everything about how defensible they think this is. Senator Schiff is right that this spending is "clearly against the law." The DOJ isn't alone either — the Department of the Interior signed a $39,000 banner contract and the FAA authorized up to $114,000 for the same purpose. Dressing federal buildings in a sitting president's image isn't a beautification project. It's the kind of thing you see in authoritarian states, and it's being funded by the people who live here. Push for a congressional investigation, demand the unredacted contracts, and make clear that no administration gets to turn public buildings into campaign billboards on the public's dime.
