I am demanding that you immediately initiate impeachment proceedings against President Trump for his betrayal of our NATO allies and his pursuit of territorial expansion that constitutes a direct threat to American national security and the international order. President Trump's appointment of Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry as Special Envoy to Greenland is not a policy disagreement. It is an act of aggression against Denmark, a NATO ally that has stood with the United States for over 75 years. His December 2024 declaration that "the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity" and his January 2025 "MAKE GREENLAND GREAT AGAIN" campaign represent a fundamental betrayal of our treaty obligations and democratic values. Denmark's Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen has already been forced to publicly defend Danish territorial integrity against American threats. This is unconscionable. This administration is actively working to acquire territory from a sovereign ally. This is not diplomacy. This is the behavior of an authoritarian regime pursuing colonial expansion. Every day this continues, our adversaries gain justification for their own territorial ambitions while our allies question whether American security guarantees mean anything at all. NATO is being destroyed from within by an American president who treats our closest partners as targets for acquisition. You took an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. A president who betrays our allies, undermines our treaty obligations, and pursues territorial expansion against democratic nations is a clear and present danger to American national security. Impeachment is not a political option. It is a constitutional necessity. I am demanding that you introduce articles of impeachment, publicly call for Trump's removal from office, and use every legislative tool available to stop this administration's assault on our alliances. History will judge whether you had the courage to act when American democracy and our international standing were under direct attack. I expect you to fulfill your constitutional duty immediately.
