Dear Kamala Harris Campaign Team,
I hope this letter finds you well. As a strong supporter of Vice President Harris and an admirer of her leadership, I wanted to offer a suggestion that I believe could add a refreshing and relatable dynamic to her campaign: a Comedy Central-style roast.
In 2015, then-candidate Donald Trump participated in a roast on Comedy Central, which, despite its humor at his expense, allowed him to show a different side of his personality—one that showed his “teflon” qualities. It made him appear more accessible and gave people an opportunity to see him handle tough jabs with ease. While Trump’s policies and persona are in sharp contrast to Vice President Harris’, this strategy could work just as well, if not better, for her.
Vice President Harris is known for her intelligence, determination, and formidable leadership skills. But we also know she has a wonderful sense of humor, a key trait that can engage new audiences and humanize her in a powerful way. A roast, especially on a platform like Comedy Central, would allow her to show her ability to laugh at herself while highlighting her resilience and wit—a perfect contrast to the often stoic nature of politics.
Comedy can cut through the noise in a unique way and reach a broad, diverse audience, including younger voters and those who may be less engaged in traditional political dialogue. It would also give her an opportunity to connect with the public on a more personal level, while reinforcing her confidence in handling challenges and criticism with grace.
I believe this approach could be a memorable and impactful addition to her campaign strategy, allowing her to reach more voters, generate buzz, and show a side of her that many people don’t often get to see in the political sphere.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to continuing my support for Vice President Harris and seeing her lead the charge into the future.
Warm regards,
