Reject anti-Semitism conspiracy theory amendment to Awareness Act

To: Rep. Neguse, Sen. Bennet, Sen. Hickenlooper, Pres. Trump

From: A constituent in Boulder, CO

April 30

The Antisemitism Awareness Act aims to address the alarming rise in hate crimes against the American Jewish community. However, the proposed amendment extending protections to those who promote anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about Jews being responsible for Jesus's death is deeply concerning. Such hateful rhetoric has historically fueled violence and discrimination against the Jewish community. We must reject this amendment and ensure the Act focuses solely on combating hate crimes motivated by racism, xenophobia, and intolerance, without providing cover for other forms of bigotry. Promoting religious divisions and scapegoating undermines our nation's principles of equality and respect for all faiths and communities.
