**Demand Criminal Prosecution for DOGE Team's Misuse of Social Security Data** I am writing to demand that Congress immediately investigate and pursue criminal prosecution of the individuals and organizations involved in the misuse of Social Security Administration data by members of Elon Musk's DOGE team. According to Justice Department court filings dated Friday, two DOGE team members secretly communicated with an unidentified advocacy group seeking to overturn election results in certain states, with one member signing a Voter Data Agreement that may have involved using Social Security data to match state voter rolls. This represents a profound violation of public trust and federal law. The scope of these violations extends far beyond political misconduct. Steve Davis, a senior adviser to Elon Musk, was copied on a March 3, 2025 email containing a password-protected file with private information of approximately 1,000 Americans from Social Security systems. DOGE team members used the third-party server Cloudflare to share data through links, a platform not approved for storing SSA data and falling outside SSA security protocols. The Social Security Administration has been unable to determine exactly what data was shared to Cloudflare or whether it still exists on the server, meaning the personal information of potentially thousands of Americans may be permanently compromised. These individuals accessed our most sensitive personal data under the false pretense of detecting fraud and modernizing technology, then allegedly used it for partisan political purposes. Both employees have been referred for potential Hatch Act violations, but this criminal conduct demands far more serious consequences. One DOGE team member was granted access to private Social Security profiles even after a court prohibited such access, demonstrating willful disregard for judicial authority. I urge you to demand that the Department of Justice pursue criminal charges against every individual and organization involved in this data theft. The American people deserve accountability when government contractors steal our private information for political manipulation. Congress must also subpoena all communications between DOGE team members and the advocacy group, identify the organization involved, and determine the full extent of data compromise. Our Social Security information is not a political tool.
