Nobody in a leadership position in federal government wants their obedience to the federal oath of service to become a personal sacrifice. I read that some of Trump’s critics, or would-be critics, are getting death threats. Right now, our system of government itself is dying. You asked us the People to fix this problem at the ballot box, and we failed. DoD and DoJ, even under the previous administration, were paralyzed with fear for themselves and their families. It’s a hard task for anyone, I am sure, to balance that against harm to the country by not acting, and especially by not blowing the whistle on threats to one’s own well being. Get these threats investigated. As safely and thoughtfully as possible, BLOW THE WHISTLE on them. Nobody should have to sacrifice their family or personal safety to govern properly. But neither should we lose our society by cowering to such treasonous threats against the government of the United States of America.
