Support Immigration Reform That Promotes Economic Growth
To: Sen. Markey, Sen. Warren
From: A constituent in Newton Center, MA
February 19
Dear Senator,
I urge you to publicly support the immigration reform principles contained in the Dignity Act (H.R.4393) and work to introduce or support companion legislation in the Senate.
I support the principles outlined in the Dignity Act, alongside The Secure Growth Initiative, a national coalition representing over 100,000 small businesses advocating for a practical alternative to mass deportation and positive immigration reform.
The current immigration enforcement expansion is creating economic devastation for
American businesses and communities. Small businesses are losing their workers, who
are being detained or afraid to come to work, losing revenue from a dramatic
reduction in immigrant community spending, or in some cases, being forced to temporarily close due to enforcement volatility.
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and mass deportation policy and the current immigration crackdowns are threatening their survival.
The Dignity Act provides a pathway forward for Congress. It currently has 35 co-sponsors in the House, 17 of whom are Republicans.
I encourage you to support and cosponsor a version of the Dignity Act in the Senate, and publicly support its passage in the House.
Thank you for your consideration.
