Two American Citizens Killed — Congress Must Act Now Hello, I am your constituent, and I am demanding immediate action following the killings of Renée Nicôle Good on January 7, 2026, and Alex Jeffrey Pretti on January 24, 2026, during federal immigration enforcement operations in Minneapolis. Two American citizens are dead. This cannot be treated as routine enforcement. It is a constitutional crisis of accountability. You must: 1 Publicly call for and secure an independent special prosecutor to investigate these deaths, fully outside DHS and ICE’s chain of command. 2 Immediately convene and lead public congressional hearings, compelling ICE, CBP, and DHS officials to testify under oath and produce all body camera footage, operational plans, and use-of-force records. 3 Introduce and support legislation suspending ICE funding for interior enforcement operations until enforceable national use-of-force standards, mandatory body-worn cameras, and automatic public reporting of all shootings are codified into law. 4 Advance binding legislation requiring judicial warrants for interior enforcement actions and establishing clear civil remedies when U.S. citizens’ constitutional rights are violated. Silence or incremental reform is not acceptable. When federal agents kill American citizens, Congress has an obligation to impose oversight, accountability, and structural limits. If this is how ICE feel entitled to operate against American citizens, I can only imagine the brutality they are enacting against non-citizens.
