The Easter morning message from the current commander and chief suggests that he has stopped being able to make rational decisions related to his illegal war. He has already shown he is willing to ignore the constitution to start a war without Congress. If he is also willing to publicly threaten war crimes on behalf of the United States, then there is little we can put past him. Given that he has had his loyal cronies remove military leaders that may oppose his agenda, there is a real risk he may decide to use nuclear weapons to achieve his goals. If Congress does not assert its authority and take the country off of a war footing, the damage to our country may be irreversible. Now is the time to take Republican leadership to task for their meek acquiescence to this rogue leader. They must be brought to the table to talk about these issues with the seriousness the American people deserve from their representatives. We cannot wait for the midterm elections for Congress to act to rein in this President. The time is now.
