As a parent and educator I implore you to take action to stop the President’s aggression toward Greenland and our NATO allies. This aggression threatens to destabilize the globe and cause suffering of all kinds abroad and in the US. My grandfathers, uncles, and father-in-law served in the military during WW2 and the Cold War. The idea that hard fought peace and prosperity they helped bring about could come apart in our lifetime is shocking. We honor the men and women who fought to bring this peace and prosperity about by protecting it today. The children of Alabama deserve to grow up in a stable world. For their sake I am begging you to have the courage to say NO to the annexation of Greenland and any further actions of President Trump that will destabilize NATO and ties to our allies.
