An Open Letter

It’s frustrating that our Democratic Party doesn’t have a younger candidate for president and only now, after a failed debate, seem to be concerned about it. Please be sure that I have supported Pres Biden for years and appreciate his contribution to our country and democracy, however I have been very disappointed that we were never offered another choice of candidate for this election. I’m 56 years old. I have nieces and nephews in their 30’s and teens. I work with younger people. They want someone younger and our country needs someone younger. Losing this election is a HUGE RISK for the future of a democratic America and my party is sleeping on the job. Do better. There has to be someone younger and more dynamic available to run…. And if not, WHY NOT? I believe Pres Biden is a smart, kind and honest man but it’s not enough. Please open our primaries up no matter if we have office. It can’t be assumed.
