I need you to invoke the 25th Amendment immediately to remove President Trump from office. His threats against Iran on April 7 reveal a dangerous unfitness to serve as Commander in Chief. Trump threatened that "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again" and promised the "complete demolition" of Iran's power plants and bridges. He set a deadline of 8pm Eastern Time, warning that every power plant and bridge would be left "burning, exploding, and never to be used again." These are explicit threats to attack civilian infrastructure serving over 90 million people. Amnesty International's Secretary General stated these threats may constitute a threat to commit genocide under international law. US and Israeli forces have already struck civilian infrastructure including power plants, bridges, universities, and factories, killing and injuring civilians. Intentionally attacking civilian infrastructure constitutes war crimes. Trump's promise to bomb Iran "back to the Stone Age" and his threat that Iran could be "taken out in one night" demonstrate a staggering disregard for human life and international humanitarian law. A president threatening genocide and war crimes against an entire population is unfit to hold office. The 25th Amendment exists for exactly this situation. Act now before these threats become reality.
