NO to US support of Israel
To: Rep. Goldman
From: A constituent in New York, NY
July 8, 2025
I am writing to express my firm opposition to the reported plan by Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu to forcibly remove Palestinians from Gaza. This proposal is not just immoral — it is a textbook case of ethnic cleansing. Forcibly displacing an entire population from their homeland is a gross violation of international law and basic human decency.
We have already witnessed the horrific toll of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza: tens of thousands of civilians killed, entire neighborhoods flattened, and basic infrastructure — including hospitals, schools, and water systems — destroyed. These actions are not defensive; they are punitive, disproportionate, and inhumane. The idea that the next step would be to permanently exile Palestinians from their homeland is not only appalling but echoes some of the darkest chapters of history.
I urge you to speak out and take immediate action to oppose any U.S. support for this plan. The United States must not be complicit — politically, financially, or morally — in this kind of ethnic violence. Our tax dollars should not be funding the mass suffering of Palestinians, nor should they be subsidizing free housing, healthcare, and military aid for Israeli citizens while basic human rights are being denied to millions of Palestinians under occupation.
This is a moment for moral clarity. History will remember where we stood. I ask you to stand on the side of justice, human rights, and dignity — and to reject this plan in the strongest possible terms.
