Demand that Pete Hegseth explain his position on a woman's right to vote

To: Sen. Duckworth, Sen. Durbin, Rep. Davis

From: A constituent in Chicago, IL

August 11

Pete Hegseth recently supported his pastor's opinion that "Women are the kind of people people come out of," and it is a woman's job to submit to her husband and let him vote for the household. Pete Hegseth is an utter disgrace, and should be called to testify in front of Congress to explain his position on the voting rights of women, and to have someone teach him what's in the Constitution. Women are already losing their rights to bodily autonomy. Clearly we're all about to lose our rights to free and fair elections with the Republicans cheating to win by gerrymandering, but women should at least retain the opportunity to vote in what will, shortly, become a farce of an election.
