Please do urgent oversight on ICE protocols, instructions, and detention facilities. Uphold Congress's legal right to visit detention centres for Oversight against Noem's illegal refusal. Please introduce legislation to require that ICE wear uniforms and carry ID, showing it on request. It has been widely published that ICE agents are given a bounty for each arrest. At a recent raid, bystanders are reported to have heard agents say: "how many bodies did you get." I believe this incentive system has another name: human trafficking. So ICE raids are now a human bounty hunt carried out with no restrictions. American citizens are being kidnapped and disappeared. Immigrants with legal status are being kidnapped and disappeared. Reports tell of unspeakable cruelty: parents snatched from children; cancer patients missing treatment. I am horrified: any decent human being should be. Surely you have heard of Stephen Miller's targets-- which incentivize this cruelty. Please explain me what mechanism is in place to stop a random criminal from overpowering any other human, even breaking into that person's house, capturing them by force, and detaining them? People are now hiding in their residences afraid to come out. Immigrants are being detained when they show up- as required by law- for court appearances. How does this fix anything? American public opinion has now turned against Trump's deportation policy. It's time for Congress to catch up. Do oversight and legislate. Rein in ICE.
