I'm asking you to filibuster the SAVE America Act and use every tool available to block this legislation, including reading the Epstein files on the Senate floor if that's what it takes. This bill is a solution in search of a problem. Noncitizen voting is already illegal and extremely rare. What the SAVE America Act actually does is create barriers that will prevent eligible citizens from voting by requiring proof-of-citizenship documents many Americans don't have and forcing states to run voter rolls through a federal database. These requirements will disproportionately impact elderly voters, naturalized citizens, and people who've lost documents to fires or floods. Senator Cornyn just reversed his position on the filibuster after years of calling it essential to making the Senate work together. In 2022, he warned that eliminating it would "take a wrecking ball to the United States Senate itself." He was right then. The 60-vote threshold protects against partisan overreach, and abandoning it now to pass legislation addressing a nonexistent problem would be reckless. Use the talking filibuster. Read every page of every document you can find. Make them defend why they're willing to destroy Senate norms to restrict voting rights.
