Investigate and Block Billionaire Influence Over Elections and Government

To: Rep. Dean, Sen. McCormick, Pres. Trump, Sen. Fetterman

From: A verified voter in Elkins Park, PA

October 18

Investigate and block the unchecked flow of billionaire money corrupting our elections and our government. Elon Musk donated over $200 million in a single quarter to Republican campaigns, including $158 million to the Senate Leadership Fund PAC, one of the largest single political donations in US history. That money moved almost immediately to influence the Texas Senate race, where Musk's own business interests, including SpaceX, Tesla, and X, are directly tied to keeping low-regulation politicians in power. This is not civic participation. It is a billionaire purchasing a regulatory environment for his own companies. Political analyst Cayce Myers put it plainly: "This is the idea of shaping the regulatory environment through contributions." When one person can spend $200 million to decide who controls Congress, ordinary voters are not competing in the same election. Pass legislation closing the super PAC loopholes that make this possible, and support full transparency requirements for all large political donations. No private fortune should be able to buy a Senate majority. The integrity of every election depends on it.
