Protect Trans People's Human Rights

To: Gov. Whitmer, Rep. Miller, Sen. Irwin

From: A verified voter in Milan, MI

August 5

Trans people exist. They are constituents, neighbors, and people with full lives and a documented history that stretches back centuries across every culture on this planet. In 1513, Vasco Núñez de Balboa had forty Indigenous gender-nonconforming people thrown to war dogs. The violence is not new. Neither are trans people. What I need from you is simple: stand up for trans rights. Oppose legislation that strips trans people of healthcare, legal recognition, or protection from discrimination. Trans kids exist too. Denying that doesn't make it less true — it just makes the harm invisible to you while it stays very visible to them. Read more here: https://samantha705901.substack.com/p/exist This is not complicated. Protect trans people's human rights. Do it loudly, do it on the record, and do it now.
