I am writing to demand the impeachment and removal of President Trump based on his conduct and decision-making. These concerns come from widely documented actions over several years that, in my view as a constituent, raise serious questions about his fitness for the presidency and the long-term impact on our democratic institutions. 1. Misuse of Federal and Military Power • U.S. military strikes on small boats in the Caribbean and near Venezuela resulted in dozens of deaths, including civilians, according to regional governments and UN human-rights officials. • Federal tactical teams used aggressive force on civilians in Portland, including detentions in unmarked vehicles. • Peaceful protesters were forcibly cleared from Lafayette Square before a presidential photo opportunity. • Senior military leaders have publicly described pressure to use the military in domestic political contexts. 2. Conflicts of Interest and Personal Enrichment • Millions in taxpayer and foreign government spending flowed to Trump-owned properties during his presidency. • Multiple emoluments lawsuits raised unresolved constitutional questions. • The proposed plan to host the G7 summit at Trump’s own resort highlighted the overlap between official duties and private business interests. 3. Attempts to Overturn the 2020 Election • Pressure on Georgia officials to “find” votes. • Efforts to organize false elector slates. • Pressure on DOJ to declare the election corrupt without evidence. • Pressure on the vice president to exceed constitutional authority. 4. Conduct Connected to January 6 • Repeated false statements about the election outcome. • Rhetoric and actions that contributed to the conditions leading to the attack on the Capitol. • Failure to act promptly once violence began. 5. Obstruction of Federal Investigations • The Mueller Report documented attempts to fire the special counsel, influence witness testimony, and direct creation of false records. 6. Mishandling of Classified Documents • Removal and retention of classified materials after leaving office; storage in unsecured areas; efforts to obstruct the investigation. 7. Abuse of Power in Foreign Policy • Withholding congressionally approved Ukraine aid while seeking politically beneficial investigations. Taken together, these episodes reflect a pattern that, from my perspective, conflicts with the integrity, accountability, and constitutional stewardship expected of anyone who holds the presidency. Thank you for your attention and for your service to our country.
