I desperately urge you to vote a resounding NO on the SAVE act, and put heavy pressure on your fellow congress people to do the same. The very fiber of our democracy is being threatened by these disgusting bills whose only intention is intimidation and voter suppression. Millions of Americans who have married and taken their spouses names would be ineligible to vote, and it's not lost on me that most of the effected are w omen and trans people - two groups who are already targeted and abused by people in power in terrible and disgusting numbers every day. Please do your part to ensure all ALREADY registered Americans retain their right to vote, and attempt to save America and democracy. If you care about your constituents and the American people you will actually put up a fight, and ask others around you to regrow their spines and actually take a stand against the tyranny and fascism that is threatening our country.
