Take a Page from the Senator’s Book(er)

Senator Cory Booker’s 25-hour stand on the Senate floor was a striking display of bold, relentless leadership — urgent, courageous, and grounded in moral clarity. That’s the kind of energy we need from every Democratic senator.
You hold key roles on national security and homeland security committees — you understand the stakes better than most. But leadership isn’t just about committee work or quiet effectiveness. It’s about using your voice in public moments that matter. Right now, Americans need to see that their leaders are not just working, but fighting for democracy.
I’m a mom of three and a lifelong Democrat, and I’m deeply alarmed by the threats to our democratic institutions — and by the caution that often defines our response. We need to see stronger leadership. That means calling out extremism, defending voting rights, and supporting new leadership if Senator Schumer can’t meet the urgency this moment demands.
Please speak out. Please be visible. I’ll be watching — and hoping to be inspired by what you do next.
