The War Powers Resolution rightfully acknowledges that Congress has the sole authority to declare war and authorize military force. Ongoing hostilities against Iran without Congressional approval violates this constitutional provision. Terminating unauthorized military engagement upholds the separation of powers and ensures the executive branch does not overstep its bounds. Given the potentially grave consequences of escalating conflict, it is crucial that the decision to use force receives proper deliberation and consent from the representatives of the American people. I urge you to support H.Con.Res. 38 to remove U.S. armed forces from unauthorized hostilities against Iran and reassert Congress's war powers prerogative.
