Voters handed Democrats a clear mandate in this election. We expect leaders who will use it. I am asking you to support new leadership for the Democratic caucus in both chambers, and to vote against Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer when leaders are chosen. Under their leadership, Democrats have too often answered abuses of power with appeasement and calls for reconciliation instead of accountability. That approach did not stop Trump in 2024 and it will not protect our democracy now. Leaders who are beholden to big donors and outside lobbies, including AIPAC, cannot be trusted to put voters first on war, Gaza, and the courts. This new majority needs leaders who will pursue justice and accountability, restore democratic norms, and use every tool Congress has to check the executive branch. No more going easy on those who broke the rules. Please commit publicly to supporting new, progressive leadership in the House and Senate Democratic caucuses, and let your constituents know how you will vote.
