I urge you to vote against H.R.7661 - Stop the Sexualization of Children Act. This is a book-banning bill that would eliminate all adult romance novels, YA books (without any sexual material) that feature romance or LGBTQ+ characters, and children’s books with LGBTQ+ characters. The bill will not keep children safe from pornography. I am a mother, a school employee, and a reader. I want to keep child safe, and i know that this bill is not going to do that.
