Protect Women’s Bodily Autonomy and Healthcare Privacy

To: Sen. Peters, Sen. Slotkin, Rep. Moolenaar

From: A constituent in Mesick, MI

October 20

I am writing to demand immediate legislative and executive action to protect a woman's fundamental right to bodily autonomy and healthcare privacy. Decisions regarding reproductive health, pregnancy, and medical treatment are deeply personal and belong strictly between a patient and their healthcare provider. Government overreach into private medical decisions compromises public health, undermines bodily liberty, and strips individuals of their fundamental right to self-determination. We urge our elected representatives at both the state and federal levels to pass comprehensive statutory protections that codify bodily autonomy, safeguard reproductive healthcare access, and defend the privacy of medical records against government intrusion. Healthcare is a human right, and our laws must reflect the dignity and sovereignty of every individual over their own body.
