Enact Binding Federal Guardrails on Artificial Intelligence. Executive orders are temporary. Permanent safeguards require statutory law. As artificial intelligence rapidly integrates into critical infrastructure, finance, and defense, relying on unilateral executive directives leaves our national security and economic stability exposed to shifting political tides. Congress must assert its constitutional authority and pass comprehensive, bipartisan AI legislation now. You must act immediately to: Mandate Safety Standards: Establish enforceable liability frameworks and mandatory pre-deployment testing for frontier models. Protect Data & Privacy: Codify strict federal consumer privacy protections and prohibit unauthorized data harvesting. Secure Critical Infrastructure: Set binding cybersecurity protocols to prevent adversarial exploitation of autonomous systems. Do not cede technological governance to executive decree or an unregulated market. Exercise your legislative duty, introduce binding guardrails, and protect the public interest before unmonitored deployment creates irreversible harm.
