End Executive Corruption, Taxpayer IRS Settlements and Constitutional Violations
To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Hunt
From: A constituent in Houston, TX
May 18
I am writing to you as a constituent in The Woodlands to voice my immense opposition to the blatant corruption being permitted under the current administration. Specifically, I am demanding that you take immediate action to halt the effort surrounding President Trump’s multi-billion dollar lawsuit against the IRS and the deeply troubling reports of massive, taxpayer-funded settlement funds being engineered to resolve it.
The conflict of interest here is undeniable. Allowing the head of the executive branch to effectively negotiate a massive payout with his own administration is a textbook definition of collusive litigation. It is an insult to American taxpayers. Let us be entirely transparent: if former President Biden or any Democratic administration had attempted to execute a scheme of this magnitude to line their own pockets or reward political allies, you would be fighting it tooth and nail on every public platform available. Your silence or complicity in this matter is a glaring double standard.
Furthermore, I must express my severe disappointment regarding your continued tolerance of broader ethical and constitutional failures. Why are you allowing the ongoing and flagrant violations of the U.S. Constitution regarding foreign and domestic financial benefits flowing to the executive branch? Why are you not fighting the suppression and shielding of information that the American public has a right to see? Why do you allow a protective barrier around the wealthy and powerful at the expense of justice?
As my federal representatives, your oath of office is to the United States Constitution and the citizens who elect you, not to a political figurehead, not to MAGA. I urge you to stand up for your constituents, conduct rigorous oversight, block these unconscionable taxpayer payouts, and put an end to the compounding corruption that defines this administration.
I look forward to a formal response detailing the specific legislative actions you intend to take to address these concerns. Otherwise, I will look forward to the next elections.
