An Open Letter

To: Sen. Gillibrand, Sen. Schumer

From: A constituent in Brentwood, NY

February 11

I am writing to you, to implore you to vote no on the repeal of section 230. If this is successfully repealed, this would damage the Internet. This would damage free speech, and would allow the Trump government unlimited power to silence anyone opposing his ideas. I have noticed that you both are for the repeal. As your constituent. I am asking you to take that vote back. This would do long term damage to our constitutional freedoms. Section 230 isn't protecting "big tech", it is protecting We the People. If you vote to repeal Section 230. Lgbtq+, reproductive justice activists, all of that gets censored. Either by the government, or by big tech. There is no reason to vote against what should be our 1st amendment right. Do the right thing. Vote no on the repeal of section 230. Vote for our rights, and freedoms.
