An Open Letter

To: Sen. Schumer, Sen. Gillibrand

From: A constituent in Brentwood, NY

March 4

I am writing to you once again: -oppose KOSA -oppose the App Store Accountability Act -oppose The SCREEN Act -oppose section 230 reform/sunsetting -oppose/repeal online age verification and ID laws. These are all government over reach. They will give power to larger corporations, while silencing the smaller businesses. This also restricts our freedom of information, silences our God given 1st amendment rights. The argument of "protecting the children" is a farce. That should be up to individual parents, not the government. As for a digital ID system, no. The government, nor any corporation has the right to invade my private life. We see what this administration does with our voting records, and you'd be willing to give them even more information? So they can target vulnerable people. Speaking of, KOSA will be used to silence queer and trans people, as well as those who are deemed "different". Will you not stand up for them? Will you not protect their freedoms? I implore you to vote against this obvious government over reach, and the trampling of our freedoms.
