Demand Accountability for Misuse of Military Assets for Kid Rock Concert

To: Sen. Gallego, Rep. Stanton, Sen. Kelly

From: A constituent in Tempe, AZ

May 3

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth must be removed from office immediately for misusing military resources. Using Apache helicopters as props for Kid Rock's concert tour is an inexcusable waste of taxpayer dollars and a betrayal of our service members. When the Army opened an inquiry into the legality of helicopters flying by Rock's Nashville home, Hegseth shut it down and reversed the suspension of crew members involved. He wrote "No punishment. No investigation. Carry on, patriots" and then appeared in Rock's tour hype video riding in an Apache helicopter. This isn't leadership. It's corruption. Our military families struggle to afford food while this administration treats combat aircraft like personal toys for political allies. Funding has been slashed for healthcare, education, FEMA, and air traffic control, yet somehow there's money to fly the Defense Secretary around in attack helicopters for a rock concert promotion. The priorities are backwards and obscene. This abuse of power demands consequences. I expect you to call for Hegseth's immediate resignation or impeachment. Our military deserves a Secretary who serves them, not one who uses them as stage props.
