I don’t remember Elon Musk being on my ballot, or being confirmed by the senate, yet he has somehow been granted access to the treasury’s payment system and has shut down USAID. This will have dire consequences for people around the world who depend on USAID for their next meal. The budget for USAID is minuscule, and only shows Musk’s cruelty. Second, and more importantly, Elon Musk’s involvement in the government, or indeed in politics at all, is a glaring conflict of interest, considering the fact that he is the LARGEST government contractor, and it’s a national security risk, due to his factories in China. You are a member of congress. It is YOUR JOB to hold the executive branch in check when it oversteps. I expect you to stand up to this nonsense immediately, or you will not receive another cent from me, or my vote.
