Demand Full Release of Epstein Files and Accountability for Obstruction
To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, Rep. Babin
From: A constituent in Houston, TX
March 29
The Justice Department is withholding 2.5 million pages of Epstein files despite the transparency law Congress passed. I need you to support new legislation with real enforcement mechanisms to compel the full release of these documents and hold officials accountable for obstruction.
Attorney General Pam Bondi refused to commit to complying with her subpoena during the closed-door meeting that ended with Democrats walking out. The DOJ improperly redacted the identities of Epstein's alleged co-conspirators and initially withheld FBI memos documenting abuse allegations. They only released these after lawmakers complained. This pattern shows the department is hiding information the public has a right to see.
Reps. Massie and Khanna admit the original Epstein Files Transparency Act lacks enforcement language, which national security lawyer Bradley Moss called "one of the biggest self-owns by Congress in my lifetime." The current law is toothless. Any new bill must include a private cause of action so survivors and citizens can sue for compliance.
The American people deserve to know the full truth about Epstein's network of co-conspirators. Support legislation that forces complete disclosure and holds anyone obstructing transparency accountable, regardless of their position.
