I am writing as a deeply concerned American urging you to immediately pursue all lawful and constitutional measures—specifically the invocation of the 25th Amendment—to remove Donald J. Trump from office.
His behavior demonstrates a clear pattern of instability, disregard for democratic norms, and conduct that poses a serious danger to the safety of the American people and to the rule of law itself. I am far from alone in this assessment. Many Americans are watching events unfold with growing fear for our country, our institutions, and the future our children will inherit.
The Constitution provides mechanisms for moments precisely like this. Delay only increases the risk of further escalation and harm. I ask you to act with urgency, courage, and fidelity to your oath of office.
Beyond the immediate crisis, I also seek your assurance that meaningful safeguards will be enacted to prevent such a failure from ever happening again. No individual who is a convicted felon, adjudicated liable for sexual abuse, or demonstrably engaged in fraud and deception should ever be eligible to hold the highest office in our nation. The presidency must never again be vulnerable to exploitation by those unfit to wield its power.
History will remember what was done—or not done—at this moment. I urge you to act decisively in defense of our democracy.
