am writing as a constituent because I am concerned about the rapid development of increasingly powerful artificial intelligence. I support the benefits AI can bring, but I also believe the most advanced systems should be subject to strong, enforceable safety standards before they are widely deployed. This should include independent testing, cybersecurity requirements, transparency when serious problems occur, and safeguards preventing AI from having unchecked control over weapons, critical infrastructure, or other high-risk systems. AI has enormous potential, but we should not wait for a catastrophe before establishing meaningful oversight. Please support responsible, bipartisan legislation that encourages innovation while protecting the public from catastrophic AI risks. Thank you for your service and for considering my concerns.
