I'm disgusted and horrified at the terrorist designation trump and the FBI gave to a nonexistant "antifa" boogeyman. How is being anti-fascist not the pinnacle of patriotism?
This country was built on freedom of speech, peaceful assembly, and nonviolent protest, and we fought a civil war at least in part against the political violence of the south, along with the awful structures of slavery, and for the idea that anyone could be anything less than equal to anyone else.
Being antifascist is a quality we encourage in children - standing up against bullies in school! It's the same thing as peacefully protesting fascist and oligarchic ideology, decisions, and actions by the administration. How is that anything but patriotic standing up to bullies?
I am boggled that the administration is trying to use this invented and nonsensical garbage to declare any Americans they don't like to be terrorists. Isn't that the definition of fascism? In addition to this cartoon-like, invented antifa boogeyman I can only anticipate the violence peaceful protesters will be subjected to now that apparently anyone can declare them terrorists on par with ISIS and do whatever they want to them. Rejecting oligarchs and speaking out against them, including greedy insurance company ceos who frusterate doctors, patients and probably legislators is patriotic and constitutional free speech. Shooting is obviously not, but it's a childish false equivalence to pretend widely-shared frustration is terrorism.
No more wars on American people.
That includes no more war against residents, immigrants, and asylum seekers, and especially not against fake terrorist designations against peaceful Americans.
