Legally define and criminalize systemic psychological abuse, forced isolation, financial exploitation, and severe gaslighting outside of physical violence. 2 Recognize Patterns of Sexual Predation and Abuse of Power: Enhance criminal penalties for sexual predators who utilize structural power, institutional status, or psychological grooming tactics to exploit victims. The law must recognize these predatory patterns as deliberate, calculated efforts to destroy victim autonomy. 3 Implement Strict Psychological Fitness Standards for Public Office: Implement rigorous, independent ethical and behavioral vetting processes for individuals seeking high-level public office to ensure that those who display documented patterns of predatory behavior or severe manipulation are barred from holding positions of public trust. Our laws must evolve to protect citizens not just from physical threats, but from the devastating, calculated effects of psychological predation and systemic abuse.
