Oppose or amend Texas' SB 20

To: Rep. Carter, Sen. Ossoff, Sen. Warnock

From: A constituent in Hinesville, GA

May 22

I'm writing in strong opposition to Texas' SB 20 as it's currently written. The bill should only target AI generated CSEM and CSAM produced with photos of victims that are identifiable and should not target legal expression. I would be in full support of the bill if it was significantly narrowed down to target AI generated CSEM and CSAM produced with the images of people that were taken without consent. Without that provision it seems more like a broad attempt to censor distasteful speech. There is no exception for art or fiction and that ruins an otherwise effective bill. Please oppose or amend SB 20. Thank you.
