Over the past year, we have seen the deaths of over 200,000 Palestinians, relentless bombings, and the deprivation of basic human needs such as food and water in Gaza. Hospitals have been bombed, children have been murdered, and entire communities have been wiped out. I have witnessed these horrors unfold, and the suffering of civilians is unbearable. The U.S. continues to send billions of dollars in military aid to Israel, funds that are being used to perpetuate war crimes and violations of international law. This is not just a humanitarian crisis—it is a moral catastrophe, and our government is not only complicit in, but an active participant. I cannot, in good conscience, allow my tax dollars to fund the bombing of hospitals and the starvation of innocent people. I am outraged that the U.S. government, which claims to uphold human rights and democracy, is unwavering in its support of a state that engages in ethnic cleansing and expansionism. This blind support has no regard for international law or the countless lives being lost. I demand that you, as my elected representative, do everything in your power to: End all U.S. military aid to Israel until they comply with international law and cease the attacks on civilians. Call for an immediate ceasefire and work towards a just peace that recognizes the rights and dignity of Palestinians. Hold Israel accountable for the war crimes being committed, and ensure that U.S. foreign policy is aligned with human rights, not impunity. Our government must not be complicit in these atrocities. I urge you to stand on the side of justice and humanity. I will be following your actions on this issue closely, and I expect you to represent the values of compassion, justice, and accountability that I, and so many others, hold dear.
