Theocracy Is Not Democracy: Stop Funding Christian Nationalism I am writing to express my vehement opposition to the weaponization of government resources to advance a Christian Nationalist agenda, most recently exemplified by the "Rededicate 250" event on the National Mall. Funded with millions of taxpayer dollars under the guise of celebrating America’s semiquincentennial, this White House-backed initiative transformed public federal land into an exclusionary, sectarian revival. The active participation of high-ranking officials—including House Speaker Mike Johnson, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth—blatantly violates the constitutional separation of church and state. True religious liberty ensures that the federal government does not endorse or enforce one narrow version of faith upon its citizens. Conflating American civic identity with conservative Christianity alienates millions of non-Christian, minority-faith, and secular Americans. As my elected official, I urge you to investigate the allocation of public funds to the "Freedom 250" campaign and demand an end to government-sponsored theocratic programming. Protect our Constitution, respect our nation’s diverse religious landscape, and ensure public resources are never again used to bankroll exclusionary religious nationalism.
