As a concerned citizen of Virginia, I am growing increasingly concerned about the presence of drones and other flying craft in the sky at night. More pressingly, though, I am growing concerned about the mass hysteria that these objects are causing. Many of my neighbors have made comments about how their willingness to shoot the drones. Even if they are confusing commercial aviation for drones, shooting at planes may still lead to injuries and other unintended consequences. “We don’t know” is not an acceptable answer from government officials in a post 9/11 world. Even if this is just military testing, we deserve an investigation and an explanation into what is happening. Thank you.
