Co-sponsor H.R. 8809, the Americans Insist on Political Agent Clarity Act, and push House Judiciary to give it a hearing. Thomas Massie's bill simply requires AIPAC to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act — the same law that applies to every other organization operating on behalf of a foreign government's interests. There is no principled reason AIPAC should be exempt. The facts are damning. AIPAC has operated a Jerusalem office since 1982, funds congressional travel, and briefs members on Israeli military operations. Leaked 2018 Israeli Ministry of Justice documents show even Israel's own government worried about FARA compliance. Meanwhile, AIPAC's super PAC poured between $5.7 and $9.8 million into defeating Massie in a single House primary — the most expensive House primary in American history. That is not a domestic civic organization. That is a foreign-influenced political operation buying Congress. This bill will die in committee unless members with backbone force it forward.
