Congress needs to focus the most energy on stopping Trump’s uses of “emergency powers”. From Julius Caesar until now, history has shown us that dictators often gain their power from “emergency” powers. Trump has claimed an “emergency” at the border, “emergency” invasion from Venezuela, “emergency” energy crisis, all when our country stands at a time of peace and the only crisis is Trump. Trump is following the dictator playbook and stopping his emergency powers HAS to be number one priority.
