Defend our higher ed system from Trump’s attack

In a speech in Florida in 2023, then candidate Trump stated: "We are going to choke off the money to schools that aid the Marxist assault on our American heritage and on Western civilization itself. The days of subsidizing communist indoctrination in our colleges will soon be over." The numbers are patently clear: the Trump administration has canceled more than $10 billion in grants and contracts in an attempt to stifle academic freedom in higher education. I demand you take action to restore this funding and to protect our higher education system. It’s not about anti-semitism. This is about silencing the thinking minds in this country. JD Vance had already shown his hand of cards by stating the college professors are “the enemy.” Our higher education system is our strongest asset and what has keep this country at the forefront of the creation of knowledge globally. I urge to do everything that Congress can to protect our higher education system and thereby protect our future.
