Block the Trump administration's proposed "Regulation for Federal Financial Assistance" before the public comment period closes July 13, 2026. This 400-page rule, jointly proposed by 42 federal agencies, would strip federal funding from any institution that acknowledges transgender people exist. That is not a funding policy. It is government-enforced censorship.
The rule doesn't just restrict how grant money is spent — it evaluates entire organizations for ideological compliance, with political appointees screening grants before they're even issued. Hospitals, universities, homeless shelters, and school districts would be forced to erase transgender people from their work or lose federal funding. We've already seen what that pressure does: RAINN gutted its LGBTQ+ inclusion policy, and over 40 hospitals stopped providing gender-affirming care before this rule even took effect.
The First Amendment doesn't stop mattering because a funding threat is involved. Coercing institutions into silence about the existence of a group of people is compelled speech, and it's an abuse of federal power. Go on record opposing this rule and push back hard.
