Do not vote to approve Todd Blanche as Attorney General. It is completely inappropriate for the president to appoint his personal attorney as the leading law enforcement professional in the United States. All of Blanche’s actions demonstrate that his priority is protecting Donald Trump from consequences of his corruption. Rather than holding pedophiles responsible for their actions, he has protected them from investigation and continues to cause harm to Epstein’s victims. Rather than making sure our nation’s laws are applied fairly to all Americans, he has created a get out of jail free card for Trump’s almost certain tax evasion. Any vote to approve Todd Blanche as Attorney General will be seen by all to be a dereliction of your duty to represent Maine’s citizens.
