An Open Letter

To: Sen. Slotkin, Sen. Peters, Rep. Thanedar

From: A constituent in Detroit, MI

March 11

There are currently five bills in Congress advertised as protecting kids but will ultimately be used to censor the existence of queer people online. These are the KIDS Act, KOSA, the Screen Act, Sammy's Law, and the App Store Accountability Act. Lives will be irreparably harmed if you enable Trump’s government to pressure queer people off the internet, surveil our messages, or age gate and censor online resources for vulnerable communities. Please vote against Trump manipulating the law to oppress one of the weakest communities in America.
